Over the past three years, I worked as an Estimation Engineer at a construction firm, delivering cost estimates and material takeoffs across a wide mix of project types commercial, residential, fit-outs, and more. Some highlights from this journey: 🔹 Estimated and prepared takeoffs for 100+ projects 🔹 Worked across diverse project types, adapting methodology to each scope 🔹 Proficient across PlanSwift, CostX, Excel, and Bluebeam for quantity takeoffs and cost modeling 🔹 Built accurate, drawing-derived estimates that supported competitive, defensible bids This role sharpened my eye for detail, my ability to work fast without sacrificing accuracy, and my understanding of how estimating decisions ripple through a project's entire lifecycle. Looking back, I'm proud of the range of work I got to take on and the skills I built across different tools and project types.
