I am a journalist with more than 30 years experience as a reporter and sub-editor, working for national newspapers such as The Times/Sunday Times, The Observer, The Independent and the Financial Times. I also spent a period as editor of Imperial College's in-house magazine, Business Matters. I also have eight years as a lecturer specialising in English Language and Literature, teaching a variety of writing skills and how to write for effect, to persuade, to inform, to explain and to describe.
