Safety Officer – China Power Hub Generation Company (CPHGC) Key Responsibilities: Implement and maintain Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards across construction, maintenance, and plant operations at a 1320 MW coal-fired power plant. Conduct daily site inspections, hazard identification, risk assessments, and safety audits to ensure compliance with company policies and HSE regulations. Deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings before work activities to promote safe work practices. Monitor and control the Permit to Work (PTW) system, including Hot Work, Confined Space Entry, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Work at Height, Lifting Operations, Excavation, and Scaffolding. Verify proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensure compliance with approved work procedures. Coordinate with contractors, supervisors, and engineers to maintain a safe working environment. Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and recommend corrective and preventive actions. Inspect fire protection systems, emergency equipment, lifting tools, electrical installations, housekeeping, and environmental controls. Maintain accurate HSE records, inspection reports, permits, and safety documentation. Support internal HSE audits, emergency drills, and continuous improvement initiatives. Promote a positive safety culture through effective communication, training, and employee engagement. Ensure compliance with ISO 45001 requirements and applicable legal and regulatory standards. Contribute to minimizing workplace risks, protecting personnel, equipment, and the environment while supporting safe and efficient plant operations.
