I have 1.5+ years of experience working in U.S. healthcare medical billing, primarily supporting Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Mental/Behavioral Health and other specialties. My experience covers the revenue cycle from Verification of Benefits (VOB) through payment posting, including claims follow-up, AR management, denial management, payment posting and resolving outstanding balances. Key responsibilities and achievements: Managed day-to-day U.S. medical billing and RCM activities. Worked on AR follow-up and aging claims to identify pending payments and reduce outstanding balances. Handled payment posting, including insurance payments, adjustments, patient responsibility, and reconciliation. Worked on denial management, identifying denial reasons and taking corrective action for resubmission or follow-up. Reviewed EOBs/ERAs to identify payment discrepancies, underpayments, denials and other revenue leakage. Supported the RCM process from VOB to payment posting, helping maintain accurate claim and payment records. Identified recurring billing issues and pending tasks and worked toward improving workflow efficiency and revenue collection. Maintained awareness of HIPAA and healthcare data privacy requirements while handling patient and insurance information. My practical RCM experience allows me to look beyond simply processing claims and focus on cleaner billing workflows, timely follow-up, reduced AR, effective denial resolution, accurate payment posting and maximizing collectible revenue.
