For this sample SEO project, I developed and implemented a complete search engine optimization strategy for a local business in Santa Monica, California. The main goal was to improve the website’s organic visibility, target relevant local keywords, strengthen on-page SEO, and create a better foundation for long-term search growth. I started with detailed keyword research and competitor analysis to identify valuable search terms, content opportunities, and areas where the website could improve its visibility. I then optimized important on-page elements, including page titles, meta descriptions, headings, keyword targeting, internal linking, and content structure. For local SEO, I focused on location-based search opportunities relevant to Santa Monica and improved the overall local search strategy. I also reviewed technical SEO factors, identified optimization opportunities, and worked on improving the website’s crawlability, structure, and user experience. As a result of the optimization strategy, the project showed stronger keyword targeting, improved organic visibility, better content relevance, and a more organized website structure. Several targeted keywords demonstrated positive ranking movement, while the overall SEO foundation became stronger and more competitive. This project helped me apply a complete SEO workflow—from research and competitor analysis to on-page optimization, technical improvements, local SEO, and performance monitoring. It also strengthened my ability to create customized SEO strategies based on a business’s target audience, location, and search intent.
