Wondering what goes into my love-letter writing process? You’re in the right place!
Contents
First off, your love letter. You must have your letter finalised and typed out before we do anything else. This is a big part that will determine the scope of work and design concept.
Design Concept
With a design questionnaire, we will sketch out the details. What is the size of the final piece? Which calligraphy hand will be used? Do you need the physical or printable letter delivered digitally? These are some basic grounding for the design.
Draft
In this part we will extricate clarity on the final artwork before work begins. You will receive visual and verbal specifications that can give you confidence that the final piece will be according to your preference.
Work in Progress
During the actual work, I will give you visual updates as assurance that work is indeed in progress. Don’t worry if things look sketchy - that’s because it’s not finished! This is the time to refine, refine, refine. I will keep sending you updates until the piece is finished, making sure you’re happy with everything before the hand-off.
Delivery
High quality files in the formats of your asking will be emailed.

Hi! Sicilia here. I specialise in person-to-person calligraphy: love letters, wedding vows, thank you note, and appreciation letter. File will be delivered digitally so you can print easily, while keeping the file forever. There are other calligraphy projects that I enjoy doing, such as poster quotes and baby birth announcements. Anything that's handmade, bespoke, custom, and personal, where a calligraphic font just won't do.
