Are you looking for a native french translator, because you dream of publishing your wonderful story, but in French?
I'm Mikki S., a french independent author who started writing in English, but switched to my native tongue to publish novels years ago.
Since then, I have birthed dozen of short stories and novels, both in French and English.
I love what I do, and, above all, I adore reading.
My favorite genres are romance, both fantasy and contemporary, sci-fi, and dystopia.
I notice that most books translated are from major publishing houses, and I want more indie writers to join the French market and let us discover their wonderful worlds.
This is why I will gladly translate your book written in English to French, in order for it to reach a brand new audience.
I'm just starting, so if you aren't afraid to give handing over your baby to this brand new translator (aka me) I'll make sure you have a good quality translation, and I will, respect your style and maintain your author voice (this is something I dislike with some translations, and I am aiming to do my best to not fall into this trap)
Prices are not very high because I'm fairly new, so don't hesitate to book!

Do you use A.I. to translate?
I don't, and I will never do that. I think it's important to catch the essence of a story, and humans are very creative and skilled people and can do just that.
Do you only translate novels?
Yes, this is what I want to translate. I do not translate non fiction, articles or manuals. I might accept some, but please get in touch before booking me to discuss it!
Do you accept longer books?
Yes! The longer, the merrier! Please DM me before booking if it's a long, long story that you have!
How many years of experience in translation do you have?
To be honest, none. The only book I translated was my own, from english to french. Other than that, I'm starting.
Do you have a diploma in translation?
No, I don't. I base my skills on what I know, and my expertise on how to write a book in french. Having publishing dozen of novels is very helpful :)
What if I want to work with you for the long run?
We will discuss and adjust my rate! Who doesn't love having a loyal customer? :D
