This is a great service for creating convincing typewritten text for letters, props, or gifts. The high-resolution scan can be printed out at your desired size, or utilized to create digital assets.
The Smith Corona Classic 12 and similar models were ubiquitous in the late 1960s and 1970s, notable for their rugged construction and reliability. My machine was produced in 1979 (Serial # 587106), and has been refurbished with a silk ribbon for clean, legible impressions on the page. The font on this particular typewriter is pica, a large and readable font common on vintage typewriters.
The approximate word counts listed for each package assume single-spaced text. A text slightly more than 500 words may fit on a page, depending on formatting. If you desired text that is 1.5 or double-spaced, it will require 1.5x or 2x more paper - this will not cost more, but will mean it won't all fit on the same space!

Hello! I have been a passionate self-taught calligrapher and amateur paleographer since January 2021.
I have experience with many historical and modern scripts, but I especially love variations of textura. After achieving proficiency in several scripts, I began to expand my skillset to illumination and cadels.

Will the final product be shipped to me?
No - the delivery will be a high-resolution digital scan with a photo of your text.
How do I know how many pages my text will be?
Depending on formatting, one single-spaced page of text will be about 500 words. You can calculate paper usage based on spacing. For example, if you want 500 words 1.5 spaced, it will be approximately another half page. If you want your text double spaced, it will be approximately 2 pages.
Do you require credit?
No, but recognition/acknowledgment if you share the final product is always appreciated!
Do you offer more colors than black?
Currently, I offer black and red as the only options for the color of text. In the future, I may purchase more ribbons in additional colors.
What formatting can you do with a typewriter?
I can't use italics, underline, bold, etc. on the typewriter as it has a limited number of keys/slugs. I can use spacing l i k e t h i s for emphasis, or ALL CAPS, or switch to red text for important terms or phrases.
