I provide a structured CEFR-aligned ESL placement system that progressively builds from Pre-A1 to A2+, to help you confidently place young learners before the first lesson.
The questionnaire will move step-by-step through vocabulary, sentence use, functional language, grammar, literacy readiness and parent observations. It separates spoken ability from reading and writing development to support accurate placement.
Basic will include the progressive CEFR parent intake questionnaire.
Standard will add a Student Profile Summary Sheet for recording notes across all sections, identifying spoken CEFR level, literacy stage, main focus areas and next steps. It will include a structured Student Feedback Form you can use for reporting and future assessment tracking.
Premium will include scoring grids, spoken level decision charts and tutor guidance sheets to help you interpret results confidently, justify placement decisions and plan lessons with greater precision.

Is this a full placement test?
This is a structured CEFR aligned intake and placement support system for young learners. It helps tutors/ teachers gather parent input, assess spoken ability and literacy readiness, and justify level decisions. It is not a formal exam.
What CEFR levels does this cover?
The questionnaire progressively builds from Pre-A1 through A2+, covering foundational vocabulary, sentence use, functional grammar and literacy development.
Is it editable?
Files are delivered in professionally formatted PDF format. Editable Microsoft Word versions are not included in this listing,
