Reporting to the Manager of Communications & Engagement, I served as the sole copywriter and content writer, overseeing the association’s brand voice across digital channels, managing the social media calendar, and producing newsletters, blogs, scripts, and website updates. I also mentored a part-time student copywriter and supported student teams as needed. Key Successes: -Promoted from part-time student copywriter to Student Lead within 4 months, becoming the first student staff member to earn the title. -Worked 15 - 25 hours per week while maintaining a full college course load and 75% GPA. -Wrote and delivered 750 segmented and standalone newsletters to an audience of 50,000 Mohawk College students. -Assisted with the 2025 MSA newsletter redesign, increasing click rates contributing to a 43% membership conversion rate to mohawkstudents.ca. -Researched and authored three 25–30-page annual reports, delivering mandatory member communications. -Researched, wrote, and published 15 educational and promotional blogs for mohawkstudents.ca; reviewed, edited, and published an additional 10 blogs written by the part-time MSA student copywriter. -Improved social media engagement across Instagram and LinkedIn by 50% in collaboration with the communications & engagement team. -Increased membership awareness and engagement with MSA Services and Supports by 75% in collaboration with the Communications & Engagement Team. -Wrote 900 promotional and educational long- and short-form scripts for trending Instagram Reels and YouTube videos in collaboration with the Engagement Coordinator.
