Hoi. Mijn naam is Susanne. Als een enthousiaste lezer met een passie voor verhalen, lees ik ongeveer twee boeken per week. Hoewel ik vooral literaire fictie en klassiekers heb gelezen, neig ik de laatste jaren meer naar romance en genre fiction. Ik heb mijn hele leven in de kunstwereld in de Verenigde Staten gewerkt en doe momenteel mijn master in kunstgeschiedenis in Zweden.
Mijn beta-leesproces bestaat uit twee stappen.
1. Een gewone lezing, zoals ik elk boek zou lezen.
2. Een gedetailleerde lezing met opmerkingen door het hele boek. Hier richt ik me op delen waar ik de schrijfstijl verwarrend vond, scènes die te lang duren, het einde dat te snel is, en alles wat me doet teruglezen of uit het verhaal haalt. Ik let ook op:
- Karakterlikbaarheid, opbouw, ontwikkeling en consistentie
- Actie en scène plausibiliteit, continuïteit
- Plot en tempo
- Wereldopbouw
- Toon en punt van uitzicht consistentie
- Lichte taal: syntax, spelling en woordkeuze
