As a Network Engineer at VaporVM, I deliver end‑to‑end IT and network services in an MSP environment, supporting hybrid on‑premises ↔ cloud infrastructures for global clients using multi‑vendor technologies. My work includes managing the network infrastructure of a leading international mining company and Qatar’s top construction group. I handle L2/L3 support, troubleshoot critical issues within SLAs, and design secure connectivity solutions such as IPsec, SSL VPN, ZTNA, Fortinet SD‑WAN, and ADVPN. I also configure FortiGate firewalls from scratch, migrate Sophos → FortiGate, and maintain full technical documentation. My responsibilities include Azure networking (load balancers, NSGs, subnets), implementing advanced UTM controls and WAF protections, and ensuring high availability through HA design, health checks, and proactive monitoring. I administer Layer‑2 security (VLANs, DAI, DHCP snooping, BPDU Guard, storm control) and conduct network security audits aligned with CIS benchmarks. I manage hybrid wireless environments across UniFi, Sophos, and FortiGate controllers, collaborate with SOC, Systems, and Application teams during migrations and troubleshooting, and maintain detailed HLD/LLD documentation for ISO compliance. I also maintain Zabbix monitoring and led the migration from OPManager to Site24x7 (SNMPv3). Additionally, I contribute to R&D, testing and deploying new technologies with senior engineers.
