I'm an AI Researcher at the National Center of Artificial Intelligence (NCAI), where I build machine learning and deep learning systems for production use. Most of my projects start with a messy real-world problem and end with a model that people actually rely on. Some of the work I've done: Google Lacuna Fund project: I led the curation of a large dataset of bacterial microscopy images. I designed the annotation schema, built the preprocessing pipeline, and trained deep learning models for classification and segmentation. Computer vision: Facial recognition for attendance and access control (YOLO, MTCNN, ArcFace), real-time object detection, OCR pipelines that pull text from documents, and automated visual quality inspection. Conversational AI and NLP: Multi-turn chatbots, task-oriented AI agents, RAG pipelines, and LLMs fine-tuned to automate domain-specific work. Predictive modeling: Statistical analysis, feature engineering, and ML models for classification, regression, and time-series forecasting.
