Hi, my name is Xan Hughes and I am a passionate thereminist based in Indiana, USA. It's my greatest joy to share this instrument and spread its awareness.
I'm a theremin chameleon! I can adapt to many genres; rock, metal, blues, jazz, classical, pop, soundtrack, meditation music, experimental, etc.
Primarily, I use Moog's most advanced theremin, the Moog Claravox Centennial. I am a "play it by ear" sort of musician. With practice I can figure out any melody by using my relative pitch.
I can also spontaneously improvise theremin for any size track and send it to you if you need something quick. My best work comes from improvisation, but I can certainly record your own specific melodies with any simple recorded reference. With practice, I am open to any genre, even those I haven't played before.
When the recording session is complete, a dry mixed HQ .wav file will be sent and with a wet mix if needed. If your order is very specific, please inbox me for a custom offer!

A passionate theremin player with the ability to play almost anything by ear. I've been playing theremin since March 9th, 2016. I got my first theremin weeks later! I look up to classic thereminists like Clara Rockmore & Dr. Samuel J. Hoffman. I've worked with many successful musicians for session work in the past. Hope I can provide the best theremin music or sounds for your next project!

What theremin do you play?
I play the Moog Claravox Centennial for professional sound recordings. The Claravox provides a nice warm tone and custom controls for timbre. I also offer a Moog Theremini for your more unique "digital" timbre presets. Feel free to ask any questions you may have!
Can the theremin play any note?
Yes! The theremin can play any note, scale or specific frequency. I can also play/record in any Hz tuning (with reference) for example: 432Hz, 528Hz, etc.
Can you record for me a theremin melody in fast time?
Yes, I can most certainly do that for you. I specialize in playing by ear. When I listen to any reference or track, I can easily pick it up and improvise something if need be. Depending on track length, this sort of Fiverr order sometimes gets completed quicker than the estimated delivery time.
Can you send me a theremin solo w/ effects added?
Yes! I send my clients a dry mix (without FX). However, if you need a wet mix I can make that available. Ask me about what software/hardware FX I have!
Can I submit multiple songs in one order?
If you're needing more than 1 song recorded, usually I would prefer each song to be a separate purchased order. Or we can setup a custom offer.
What if I don't like it?
We can discuss modifications during the production process. Although in the end, if we have to start over for any reason, I give one free complete revision at no cost. Any changes after that you will need to re-order.
