I am an Afro-Puerto Rican who grew up in Harlem, New York during the 80s-90s. My experience involves first hand knowledge of poverty, trauma, socio-economic strain that intersect with race. I hold a bachelor's degree in English literature and a master degree in social work. I am a social worker.
