Improved Shopify store speed dramatically by reducing Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) and First Contentful Paint (FCP) from around 20 seconds to about 2 seconds through theme cleanup, image optimization, lazy loading, and script optimization. Re-architected product page templates into a single dynamic structure, making the theme easier to maintain and faster to load, especially for stores with many products and variations. Implemented Shopify Metaobjects and Metafields to make content fully reusable and easier to manage, reducing manual work for collections, product highlights, and reusable content blocks. Built a secure Node.js proxy app to fetch and process Shopify order data via the Admin API, improving data access for reporting, automation, and backend workflows. Developed a full-stack blog automation tool (React + Node.js + Supabase) that allows blog content to be created and published directly to Shopify, cutting down manual CMS work and speeding up content publishing. Enhanced technical SEO and Core Web Vitals through better page structure, clean theme code, and performance optimization, helping improve search visibility and user experience. Worked closely with the checkout/payment team to resolve checkout and flow issues, improving reliability and reducing drop-offs during the payment process.
