How flexible is your scheduling?
Very flexible! I work with students across different time zones and busy schedules. I teach in the weekend as well! We can arrange regular weekly slots and reschedule if needed. Just let me know! I understand life gets busy.
How often should I take lessons?
On average, my students have *1 lesson* per week. I recommend 2 for steady progress, but I work with your schedule and budget. Some students have *intensive study* to prepare for exams, others only take lesson *once every two weeks* for more self-study. We'll find what works for you.
Do I need to buy textbooks or materials?
No expensive textbooks required! I create all materials specifically for you based on your goals and interests. You'll receive cultural tips, slides with language notes, audio and video recordings, and customized exercises.
Do you teach Northern or Southern Vietnamese?
I'm from Northern Vietnam but understand both dialects well. The differeneces between accents are less significant than what people think. I will teach you to understand both the linguistic basics and key aspects of dialectal variations so you're prepared anywhere in Vietnam.
How can I improve my listening and pronunciation by myself?
After our session, I will provide you with recordings and the scripts for your most problematic areas so that you can practice by yourself. I can also provide you with illustrations of mouth and tongue movement for each letter.
Do you offer trial lessons?
Yes! I offer a free 20-minute mini-lesson where we can discuss your goals and see if we're a good fit. For those ready to dive deeper, I also provide a discounted first full comprehensive session that allows us to better grasp our styles and approaches.
