FISCAL DEVOLUTION IN ACTION: KARACHI'S BUDGETARY ALLOCATIONS; PRE & POST 18TH AMENDMENT: • Conducted in-depth research on Fiscal Devolution and its impact on Karachi’s Budgetary allocations, analyzing changes before and after the 18th Amendment. • Ensured high-quality research output by adhering to the rigorous academic standards of the Hanns Seidel Foundation, a prestigious German research institute working in collaboration with Pakistan. • Acted as a liaison between HSF administration and Quaid-I-Azam University Islamabad (QAU) Fellows, facilitating communication and project coordination. NATURAL DISASTER & GENDER: A CASE STUDY OF WOMEN'S STRUGGLE IN POST- FLASHFLOOD LIFE IN TANK: • Led in-depth qualitative research on gender dynamics and disaster recovery in Tank, Pakistan, a conservative, ethno-religious region severely impacted by flash floods. • Applied intersectional feminist and postmodernist frameworks to reveal the untold stories of women as they navigated the post-disaster "new normal," challenging patriarchal norms and redefining their roles and identities. • Examined the policy and governance dimensions of disaster response, identifying gaps in gender-inclusive recovery frameworks and advocating for more equitable, context-sensitive interventions.
