I will beta read your cozy mystery novel

To provide every author with the undivided attention their manuscript deserves, I only accept one beta reading gig at a time. If I'm not available for booking, I'm probably working with another author on their story. Don't hesitate to message and ask about future availability!

I read each manuscript at least twice. In the first read, I make raw comments, note observations, and jot questions in the manuscript. Then I start my reader report outline before completing a full second read to confirm my analysis and find examples within the manuscript for your report.

I read each manuscript 2 times, take copious notes, then turn all my notes into a comprehensive reader report. I know your book is important to you and a labor of love, and I want to make sure I'm giving your manuscript the thorough read and analysis it deserves!

You can add the raw notes on to your order but only as an addition to the reader report. The raw notes are included in the Premium package.

Your beta reader report will contain a link to my online scheduler; you'll have a week to schedule your call, and the scheduling confirmation will contain all necessary details. The call doesn't have to be completed within the week, but the sooner the better so your beta read is fresh in my mind!

Most cozy mystery manuscripts fall around 85–95k words, which makes the Elevated tier perfect. Streamlined is ideal for shorter stories or partial manuscripts when you just want focused feedback. Premium is best if you’re looking for the full experience: feedback, raw notes, and a full discussion.
