Project Title: Integrated Scrap Trading Ecosystem & Custom HRMS Client Industry: International Scrap Metal Trading & Resource Recovery Tech Stack: Odoo 17 Enterprise, Python, PostgreSQL, OWL (Odoo Web Library), JavaScript 1. Project Overview & Scope I was tasked with developing a dual-purpose digital infrastructure for a large-scale scrap trading business. The project required a high-tech, customer-facing website to handle international trade inquiries and a robust backend HRMS (Human Resource Management System) to manage a diverse workforce across multiple locations. 2. My Key Responsibilities Custom ERP Architecture: Designed the backend logic to handle unique scrap trading workflows, including dynamic pricing based on market fluctuations and multi-currency transactions. High-Tech Website Development: Developed a responsive, Odoo Website module and OWL framework. I implemented custom snippets for real-time lead generation forms. HRMS Customization: Built a tailored HRMS module that integrated automated attendance tracking, multi-tier payroll processing, and employee lifecycle management (onboarding to offboarding). 3. Detailed Work Performed Trading Module: Created a custom "Scrap Valuation" and "Copper Granulation" modules that allowed sales reps to input material quality and automatically calculate margins against current LME (London Metal Exchange) rates. HRMS Automation: Developed a custom automated leave approval workflow that reduced manual HR intervention by 80%. ZATCA E-Invoicing: Ensured the system generated tax-compliant digital invoices and reports suitable for local Saudi regulatory standards (ZATCA Integration). Performance Optimization: Refined PostgreSQL queries to ensure the website and backend stayed responsive. 4. Impact & Results Operational Efficiency: The integrated system reduced the time between lead acquisition and trade finalization by 50%.
