I can transpose music from any source (PDF, scan, manuscript) into any key you need.
What I offer:
- For Singers: Changing the key to fit your vocal range perfectly.
- For Instruments: Transposing parts (e.g., C to Bb instrument) with playable range checks.
- Professional Engraving: I do not use auto-converters. I engrave notes manually to guarantee zero errors before transposing.
Technical Details & Deliverables: I work in Avid Sibelius. You will receive a clean, publishing-quality score ready for print (PDF). You also receive the .sib source file for future use.
Additional formats provided:
- Audio: To listen to the new version or use as a backing track.
- Video: With score playback to assist in learning.
- MusicXML: For processing in other notation software.

Absolutely. Just tell me your vocal range (your lowest and highest comfortable notes) or send me a quick recording of your voice. I will analyze it and recommend the perfect key for you.
Can I get the PDF in multiple keys?
Yes! Especially if you are a vocalist looking for the perfect fit, I am happy to provide 2-3 alternative keys for free. This way, you can test different ranges and choose the one that suits your voice best.
Will you check if the new key is playable on my instrument?
Yes. If you are transposing for a specific instrument (e.g., Saxophone, Violin), I will ensure the notes stay within the standard playable range of that instrument in the new key.
Do you transpose avant-garde or highly chromatic music?
Yes, but the price will be higher. Complex works (e.g., Late Romanticism or Avant-garde) often require careful enharmonic respelling to avoid unreadable double-sharps or double-flats. Please message me for a custom quote.
Will the chord symbols be transposed too?
Yes. All chord symbols will be correctly updated to match the new key.
Can you transpose from a PDF or a photo?
Yes. Since I do manual engraving, I can work with any visual source, including PDFs, scanned images, or handwritten manuscripts. I re-type the music into Sibelius and then transpose it.
I already have a Sibelius or MusicXML file. Will the price be lower?
Yes! If you provide an editable file (instead of a PDF or image), please message me before ordering. The cost will be significantly lower since I don't need to re-engrave the music from scratch.
Do you transcribe music from audio/video by ear?
No. While I have the skills to do so, I currently specialize in engraving from written sources. This gig is strictly for transposing from sheet music (PDFs, photos, manuscripts).
